I’ve been thinking about the time suck of Insta and “lost in this frenetic quagmire,” I think sums it up. So great to see you on Substack!

Thanks so much, Sue. I am so excited to have found somewhere that feels a bit like a return to blogging/long form, but with a direct line to readers. It's super exciting for us food writers in particular, don't you think? I'll deffo be having a read of yours too, thanks for the support. xx

Seems kind of daft to ask a food writer this, but I was instantly diverted by the mention of the garden, do you have plans for it? Do you grow any of your own veg?

Hi Olivia,

We used to! We had an allotment in London and the plan when we moved in was definitely to do so, but then I got pregnant and it all sort of fell by the wayside... we will be getting back to it for sure. We did some tomatoes last year, and we've planted fruit trees. I've had some crab apples. I just need to get some seeds in!
